General Remote Learning Guidelines: Class Content Lectures & Student Participation
Students who are participating as remote learners are expected to report to class on time based on the schedule they are given. All Zoom links to class will be posted for the entire week in Google Classroom on Sunday evening. Students are required to complete lecture notes and other class tasks/assignments by the specified due date in the assignment title. These deadlines will be made very clear to students and parents on my website, as well as my Google Classroom announcements. Students are encouraged to check Google Classroom daily for updated course content and information. Here is how a class will work:
- Students are expected to report to class at least 2-3 minutes early so I can admit them through Zoom when we are ready to begin. Please join with both video and audio settings on Zoom. Attendance will be taken daily; if students are late, and I have begun class, they will not be admitted immediately. Please try to be prompt. Tardies will be recorded in Lumen.
- Remote students will be asked to do the same work as those who are in the building. When turning in an assignment, students need to utilize e-mail. They can also share their work with me using Google as well (sharing a document). When e-mailing, or sharing an assignment on Google, please send to this e-mail address: [email protected]
- Lessons will be recorded on Zoom. I will try to upload them to Google Classroom, but I'm not certain how quickly that will be done each day. Please be patient with this transition.
